16. #BookFinds Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (Clothbound Classics by Penguin Books)

YOU GUYS! Excuse my mini meltdown both on this post and on Instagram while I try to contain myself and write this down like a normal human, who just happened to receive one of the most exquisite and pretty literary find; LOCALLY!

Alright so the book gracing your eyes is Pride and Prejudice by the wonderful Jane Austen.

Before you commit the sin of assuming that I haven’t read it – I have – many times. Binged on the movie God knows how many times, and still can never get enough. However, Penguin Books – a famous book publisher representing a household of writers who have been immortalized despite their mortality – came out with their ClothBound Classics editions of literature that has stood the test of time.

Authors ranging from Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Marco Polo, Leo Tolstoy (I see you, Anna Karenina) and more were published with designs by Coralie Bickford- Smith. I knew I had to get my hands on a copy however they weren’t available here anywhere.

Long story short, after some watchful Insta Story Sightseeing yesterday I spotted them on The Last Word – A bookstore in Lahore with a unique and quirky range of books and events- Instagram handle, and asked them for its availability. They had one copy remaining and I knew it was destined to be so I placed an order yesterday and it arrived today in pristine condition. Shout to the people handling their Insta and Facebook handle for the quick response and efficient customer service.

It’s retailed at PKR. 1495 with delivery charges PKR.300.

I’ll link The Last Word’s Facebook, Website  and you can search them on Insta @thelastwordbks where you can find other books in the series (Pride and Prejudice is out of stock- sorry guys). I have my eyes on Sense and Sensibility next, and I guess this is a good excuse to judge a book by its cover without any shame.

P.S. This isn’t sponsored, when you find some scores online you should share them with the world 🙂

Happy reading guys.

Till next time,
